The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) is a renowned American newspaper that primarily covers business and financial news. It was founded on July 8, 1889, by Charles Dow, Edward Jones, and Charles Bergstresser2. The newspaper’s origins trace back to the heart of Wall Street, where it began as a daily summary of financial news called the Customers’ Afternoon Letter.
Over the years, the WSJ has grown to become one of the largest newspapers in the world, with a significant digital presence. It has won numerous Pulitzer Prizes for its journalism and is known for its in-depth coverage of business, economics, and other topics1.
The WSJ is published by Dow Jones & Company, a division of News Corp, and it operates on a subscription model. It has international editions in Europe and Asia, and its editorial page is typically center-right in its positions
